Something they were thinking

There are high school kids sitting in jail right now because of something they were thinking!
First I am not condoning any plans to kill anyone. But, this is America and we are supposed to be unique among the countries of the world. We are unique in our approach to personal freedoms and to a legal system that says we are innocent until proven guilty.
However, this uniqueness is becoming a thing of the past. We as a nation are becoming so paranoid and fearful that we are abandoning our rights in order to feel safe.
Do you think our founding fathers felt safe when they left England and the only lives they had ever known in order to escape tyranny? Do you think they felt safe when they defied the King and rebelled against an unjust rule?
The price of freedom is eternal vigilance not trading our souls and those of our children for a warm place to sleep.
San Francisco just celebrated the 100th. anniversary of the great earthquake of 1906 that destroyed a good portion of the city. There were news reporters on the street asking foolish questions as usual. They stopped a young woman and asked her what she thought of the possibility of another big quake hitting again and leveling San Francisco. Her answer, “That’s life!”
What they didn’t know before they asked the question was that she was an Israeli tourist. She and the rest of her country and people for generations have grown up with and endured violence on a daily basis. Death and destruction is common place in other parts of the world but those people who live with it do not give up, they do not hide in their homes trembling. They go about their business living their lives because they know what we have yet to learn. When the fiddler plays and you decide to dance, the bill will eventually come due. When it does; you pay the price and go on. The more expensive the bill, the sweeter the music and the smoother the dance.
Our forefathers knew that and we must re-learn it if we are to save America from ourselves.

Amerika

Our freedom is being taken from us and no one seems to mind! We have lost so many of what we used to believe was our “rights” since 1950 that Amerika today doesn’t even resemble 1950’s America.

In today’s Amerika, you can’t do anything unless you first check to make sure you won’t offend anyone. What about MY offense to not being free to do, say or think what I want?

I heard on the radio last week that some Nazi cop in some small bullshit city here in California stopped some citizen driving down the road and gave her a ticket because she ; in his opinion had an offensive bumper sticker on her car! First off, what the hell are we paying cops for? Secondly who the hell is HE to decide what is offensive and when our civil rights can be abated?

Wake up people!!

This is a serious problem and if we do not address it NOW it will soon be too late!

This is not about Bush or the Republican party or even the Democrats, this is about education and immigration and civil liberties groups and all the bleeding heart liberals that think everyone must be treated equal no matter what their contribution to society is!!

Wake up!!!

A convicted felon, legally tried for murder and sentenced to death by lethal injection was just granted clemency because HE sued the State on the grounds that lethal injection was too inhumane!

THE WORLD HAS GONE CRAZY!!

You can’t even go to a bar and have a drink, even if you are in a hotel and going back to your room for the night without coming under the scrutiny of the Nazi cops in some cities without possibly being charged for drunkenness and arrested!

You can’t drive your own vehicle without wearing a seatbelt; you can’t ride a motorcycle without wearing a helmet. You can’t, you can’t you can’t!!!

PEOPLE LISTEN UP!!!

Some of these laws may be good and some should be followed BUT, they shouldn’t be LAWS and it is not the GOVERNMENTS place to tell us how to live our lives!!

THIS is exactly what our Founding Fathers were running away from and why they came here to start a new Country without such an oppressive Government.

Do you realize that although income tax had been instituted and repealed several times in our history, usually imposed to raise revenue during times of war and then stopped afterwards; income taxes was not LEGAL and did not become the law of the land in the United States until 1913 when the 16th. Amendment was enacted.

People remember “No taxation without representation”!! When is the last time you felt represented by any government? Federal, State or even Local?

Income tax is not apportioned by States which is how our Constitution said it was supposed to be done.

Now I agree that income tax may be necessary and it may be the easiest for the government to collect but, it certainly isn’t fair, and it is being used by the lying, cheating self serving politicians to pay for their own special interests as well as to fund many liberal giveaway programs that are not guaranteed to citizens in our Constitution!

Why do I have to pay for exercise equipment and color televisions for prisons? Why do I have to pay for food shelters and welfare and health care for people who are in this country illegally?

Why do I have to continually pay for lazy people in our society that continue to have children so they can feed off our society like parasites because they don’t feel like working for a living?

Why must I pay for Congresspersons to get a better pension and healthcare program for the rest of their lives just because they were privileged enough to sit on their ass and do nothing for a few years working for the Government spending MY tax money on bullshit programs that I don’t want?????

I can go on forever but let’s start by answering these questions first.

One more thing, I grew up to respect police officers but have come to see them as self righteous, lying, cheating hypocrites serving their own legal coercive nature.

What’s the difference between cops and robbers? Come on people this isn’t a trick question.
