Idle Thoughts

Daily musings and demented, psychotic ponderings

I like music a lot, I played guitar most of my life and even was in a band once. I could spend hours playing music by myself or entertaining others. I was good, maybe even pretty good, but never REALLY good. I have 3 Fender Guitars that now have an inch of dust on them. I haven't touched them since March 25, 2001 and I never will again.

It’s illegal!

It’s illegal!

It’s illegal! It is why? Because our society says it is. We set up a form of government which makes laws and then enforces them.

Hmm, well the problem with a country that espouses laws based on a particular religion is that it makes the “Freedom of Religion” right, null and void.

When you say everyone has the right to practice their religion of choice but must obey the rules of a specific religion, you really are not giving them a choice and there really is no “Freedom of Religion”.

The United States of America was founded by Christians and the laws of the land were drafted to adhere to the Christian ethic and morality.

So when the authorities tell someone who practices a religion that is based on a different set of rules that you can do whatever you want as long as you do not break the law, what they’re saying is you are not free to worship the way you want unless your religion conforms to our Christian Rules.

Furthermore because our country is based on a particular set of religious mores, you really cannot separate church and state in America. Although the founders did not want religion to become political parties as it is in many other countries, they still based our Constitution and Bill of Rights on their religious beliefs.

When you believe in bullshit and then live your life according to your beliefs, everything you think, say and do is bullshit!
