Idle Thoughts

Daily musings and demented, psychotic ponderings

I like music a lot, I played guitar most of my life and even was in a band once. I could spend hours playing music by myself or entertaining others. I was good, maybe even pretty good, but never REALLY good. I have 3 Fender Guitars that now have an inch of dust on them. I haven't touched them since March 25, 2001 and I never will again.

3 Card Monty

You know the card game you see set up at parties or in cities where people are encouraged to pick the queen after the 3 cards have been shuffled. It’s a play on the old shell game without the shells and the pea.
Well apparently that is what our politicians are playing in Washington these days. They hope their slight of hand technique will distract us from the fact that they fucked up this whole bailout bullshit!
The dumbass democrats including Obama and all of his appointed officials like the treasury shithead are all in way over their heads and are just scrambling to keep the rest of us from realizing it.
This week they are showing their righteous indignation at AIG for giving out 165 million in bonuses when they remain conspicuously quiet about the 93 billion that AIG gave out to other banks some of which are in other countries.
They are also trying very hard; (bless their air filled heads) to keep the debate from turning to why they did not set ground rules for all this money and how this could have happened in such a regulated industry.
Now the congress has stated publicly that they will put a 100 percent tax on those bonuses in order to get them back! Every fucking one of them in congress and the senate should be arrested for abuse of power! First they let this happen because of their incompetence and now they threaten to use the power of their office to threaten and bully private business.
THIS IS OUTRAGEOUS!
If laughter is contagious, everyone in Great Britton should be in tears right now because Ole King James is rolling in his grave laughing his ass off!

Yeah, that's what we should be doing - laughing. Politics and the government are so depressing. I try not to think about it.
