Earth is the Ghetto of the Universe
How many people have been to the jungles of Borneo or Guatemala? There are people in those and other jungles on this planet that still live like cavemen. They are very primitive and some do not even know there are others in the world. They believe their jungles are the entire world and nothing exists outside of it. They believe they are intelligent, efficient and believe in some Deity that created them and their world.
Most people on this planet do not know those primitive people exist, the ones that do know, don't care and the ones that do, the scientists; don't want to spoil their culture or way of life so they limit their visits to these areas of the Earth to a minimum.
Scientist make expeditions to these tribes to study them and run tests to find out how they have survived the way they do. To those primitive people these visitations must seem quite odd and amazing when "aliens" come to their world from somewhere outside with their hi-tech instruments and odd clothing and funny language.
Okay now that you see where I'm going with this you have to understand that the Earth, our planet is very small and we orbit a yellow star, our Sun; which by galactic standards is a very wimpy pussy star.
When you go outside on a clear night and look up into the cosmos you must realize that every star you see is brighter and larger than our Sun. If you were on a planet orbiting any one of the stars you can see, you would not be able to see our Sun. You would not know the Earth was even here.
You also must realize that our Galaxy, the Milky Way, is huge, with trillions of stars in it, most of which are clustered toward the center.
I believe the center of our Galaxy may very well be a thriving, busy center of commerce with millions of worlds and other beings going about their daily lives.
These worlds and beings are billions of years more advanced then we are. This is true simply because they are millions of light years ahead of us in time.
Now, we here on Earth are on the very outskirts of the Milky Way, thousands of light years from our closest neighboring stars and millions of light years from the center of the Galaxy.
I believe most of those highly advanced beings do not know that we even exist and the ones that do don't care and those that do, the scientists; don't want to interfere with our culture or way of life so they limit their visitations to a minimum.

2012 is next year babies and I believe that is when we find out we are not alone in the Universe and everything we think we know will be wrong and our religions will be proven to be the bullshit that they truly are!
